BEAU ET FROID PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION
Winter plays a major role in the imagination of Genevans. During the winter, the waters of Lake Geneva are sometimes projected by the winds on to the banks to the extent that they cover them with an ice mantle – the quays, the boats, the trees and the various other objects situated at the edge of the lake. The freezing spray then creates sumptuous ice sculptures with improbable shapes. Photographer Matthias Thomann captured this phenomenon of ‘chilling kisses’.
WHERE: Library of Geneva
WHEN: 15th January till 19th May 2018.
COST: FREE entrance.
