STORY SPARK – LEAP OF FAITH
Come take a leap of faith on Thursday 1st March 2018 and get ready to be moved, to be surprised, and laugh by a series of personal anecdotes and stories. Everyone has a great story worth telling, come share yours or come grab a drink and get ready for a fun night of supporting your fellow Geneva storytellers!
The theme of the night is “Leap of Faith”. Interested in telling your own story? Do you think you have what it takes to pick the right story and prepare it for a live audience for no more than 6 minutes? Great! Send an email to geneva@storyspark.ch. Your story needs to be personal and authentic, your own story and a true story. Tell a story about something you directly experienced. It shouldn’t be someone else’s story. You can polish some minor details, but at its core, the story you tell must be true. You must tell your story without notes. Use spoken words to tell your story and restrain the use of poetry, songs or musical instruments. Your story will be limited to 6 minutes. This might seem like very little, but with a few rounds of practise you can crystallise the essence of your story. What is your story about? What is the heart, the soul of your story?
