MEG MUSEUM – EVENTS
The programme at the MEG Museum is as impressive as always, with a whole host of events and workshops that are child friendly. For a full list visit this site.

Sunday June 2nd 14h-17h Mask in Play. A mask making workshop. Free without reservation.
Sunday June 2nd 15h / 15h30 / 16h / 16h30 / 17h (lasts 20 minutes). Baby Bazaar. L’Espace Musical school takes up residence at the MEG. The 0-2 year olds, and the adults who accompany them, explore different sound worlds thanks to instruments from all over the world adapted to very small hands! Free without reservation.
Wednesday June 12th 11h-12h. Baby Music. Every second Wednesday of the month, parents and babies embark on a musical journey across five continents. 12chf, reservations necessary.
Sunday 16th June 14h – 18h. The MEG gets wet. For the second consecutive year, the À la Pointe bar, invites the MEG to its terrace at the junction of the Rhône and Arve rivers. Feet in the water, participate with the Atelier Nolita in the design of a costume for the temporary exhibition ” La fabrique des conte” At La Pointe, Junction. Free without reservation.
Every day in June. The life and times of fairy tales: La Fabrique des Contes. The exhibition explores the magical universe of the fairy tales we know so well and which forms part of our cultural heritage, regardless of where we are from. The expo is designed as a sensory experience that takes you to the heart of 8 stories, reimagined through mirrors, dioramas and optical illusions.

LE FESTIVAL DES ENFANTS, CAROUGE. Free concerts in Carouge.

HISTORIC TRAM
June 2nd 14h-18h
Ride the historic tram one Sunday a month only. The tram leaves from Carouge Rondeau and does a circuit via Gare Cornavin and Nations. You can jump onboard at any point and buy your ticket on the spot.
Price: CHF6 adults and CHF3 6-16 year olds for a 60 minute journey.

CARIBANA MUSIC FESTIVAL
5-9 June
Why not ? There are always plenty of children at Caribana, from tiny tots with ear protectors to teenagers being, err, teenage. It’s a compact festival so perfect for families.

Take a trip to the Théâtre de Beausobre in Morges to experience puppet shows, music, magic and circus. For the full programme visit this site.

A children’s museum and creative space in Conches that is well worth a visit with small children. Open every Wednesday and one Saturday a month.

DINOWORLD, VERSOIX
Open every day until 25 August is a dinosaur expo aimed at families. Apart from the main attraction, there are be other activities to entertain kids – including a museum, labyrinth, bouncy castle and mini-golf. Kids can also take part in archeological digs.

PATHÉ FAMILY MOVIE DAY
Going to the movies is always fun and it’s even better when it’s with your family.
