KOZA AND DESIGN MALIN
Eaux-Vives
Original, stylish gifts and home decorations – perfect for Christmas…
Geneva has its fair share of high street shops, but we love discovering the little independent boutiques in unexpected corners of the city where time stands still as you browse for gifts and treasures that can’t be find anywhere else.
We recently stumbled across two such stores – in one – at 7 Rue du Nant in the trendy Eaux-Vives area. Koza and Design Malin cleverly share a shop space since August 2019, complementing each other perfectly.
KOZA
One half of the store is dedicated to Koza, a gift shop – which could just as easily have been in a trendy street in Paris, London or New York. The owner, Muriel, was in charge of a big stationery store on Rue Rive for 18 years, before pouring her creativity and flair into her own store.
You’re drawn in from the cold by a mesmerising array of colours and stylish displays of gifts, fashion accessories and stationery, inviting you to browse to your heart’s content.
LESSER KNOWN BRANDS
From laptop sleeves and purses in unusual fabrics, to coloured leather handbags with matching scarves, knitted headscarves and unusual handmade jewellery, Muriel loves to source beautifully made items from smaller, lesser known European brands and workshops.
LAMY PENS AND DIARIES
Stationery, including Lamy pens, pretty pencil cases and diaries are close to Muriel’s heart, of course, as well as a wide range of stylish greeting cards.
We loved the environmentally friendly Kobo candles – made from 100% soja wax. The Sabé Masson solid perfume tubes will make pretty gifts and no one can be disappointed with a pair of Stereo socks – in quirky and trendy designs – even for Christmas!

DESIGN MALIN

The other half of the store is Design Malin, a contemporary Scandinavian interior design store, which is already well known in the city and has existed for 6 years in a different space around the corner.
The owner, Malin Miller, opted to share the shop floor with Koza after her lease of the previous shop ran out.
SCANDI STYLE
Malin, originally from Sweden, is an interior designer with a passion for all things Scandi and her half of the shops speaks of hygge, cosy living and trendy, simplistic Nordic style. She adds to that her own eclectic touch and in-between the classic Nordic lines, you’ll find individual influences such as a table made from Indonesian petrified wood or a range of dramatic wallpaper from South Africa.
Her handpicked selection of objects for your home and decorations represent stylish Nordic brands including Asplund, Muuto, Northernlighting, Swedese, Hay, String, Mimou.
She specialises in fabrics and the current trend of bold wallpaper designs, as well as colourful curtains, rugs and cushions to enhance your living space.
THE COMFIEST SLIPPERS
We LOVED the tree-trunk-shaped bowls with bright ceramic interiors and the comfiest Scandi slippers, as well as a selection of stunning ceramic plates and serving bowls in pastel hues – unlike anything you’ll find on the high street. Mirrors, small tables, shelving and wall art, including a funky red modern cuckoo clock and tattoo-inspired laser-cut wooden art also form part of her selection.
We also liked the handmade paper bags in metallic colours and canvas recycling bags in earthy tones.
Malin offers an interior decorating service – tailored to your needs.
Both shops are worthwhile a visit if you’re hunting for original gifts or items for your home.
For us it’s also a reminder that Geneva is a city to be discovered with the real gems always just around the corner…
DON’T MISS:
ON SATURDAY, 14th December, the two shops are hosting a Scandinavian Xmas event from 10h-17h with Glögg (swedish hot wine) and other Swedish specialities.
