YOUR GUIDE TO DOG-FRIENDLY GENEVA
By Pepsi the Swiss Pom
Wondering where you can take your dog in Geneva without getting funny looks? Places where they go out of their way to cater to fur babies? Look no further – our guest contributor Pepsi the Swiss Pom reveals his favourite places to take his humans in Geneva.
1. DOG-FRIENDLY HOTEL

I have stayed in several hotels but have never felt like home as I felt during my hotel stay at Hotel Beau-Rivage. They have welcomed me with class, joy and lots of gifts. When I arrived in the room, I had a very comfortable bed waiting for me, a nice gift toy, and delicious dog meal. I have stayed with them twice already, and each time I received the same attention and felt like a celebrity.
2. DOG-FRIENDLY CRUISE

I have been on one of the lunch cruises with CGN, specifically on the ship Savoie. The crew was very nice to me and allowed me to go everywhere on deck. Humans enjoyed their brunch on the ship as well. I was even able to watch the lake from the window and get some fresh air. A must try for all dogs.
3. DOG-FRIENDLY HIKE

I have gone up to the Salève mountain just outside Geneva on one of the region’s more difficult trails. The views were spectacular, the trail was doable (with the help of my humans, 65% of the time they were holding me!) and definitely saw many dog friends along the way. It’s about an hour to go up and an hour to go down if you are up to it. Otherwise, you can hike one way up and go down with the télécabine, or vice versa.
4. DOG-FRIENDLY RESTAURANT

I love an Indian restaurant called Baba Tandoori in Eaux-Vives (Rue Montchoisy 78). It has a very tasty menu for humans, and the restaurant owner loves dogs. I even got to sit near my humans and enjoy my dinner with them. My humans say it is one of the tastiest and nicest Indian restaurants in the city.
5. DOG-FRIENDLY PARK

Parc des Eaux-Vives is one of the biggest parks in Geneva, and it has wonderful views and a vast space to run and play. It’s a very dog-friendly park, but be careful – you need to be on a leash in most areas. But there’s also an off-leash area we can run around in.
