PARC LA GRANGE – ELLA FITZGERALD STAGE

I shouldn’t be sharing this with you, as it’s been a secret of mine for some time now. Some of the best free concerts this summer take place at the Ella Fitzgerald Stage in the Parc la Grange, as part of the Musiques en Éte. This year we even have music from different planets! No, aliens are not on the playlist this year, just a band called L’Orage & L’Éclair, who claim to be from outer space!
Every Wednesday & Friday from 2nd July to the 18th August (plus one Thursday concert – see below), this secret stage set between the trees in the Parc la Grange is the location for a collection of concerts, showcasing a diverse range of musical talent from around the World – Brazil, Egypt, France, the Ivory Coast, Mali, Peru, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Swiss, the UK and the USA.
Last year’s highlight for me – the six piece Alabama soul group St. Paul and the Broken Bones, playing some amazing Otis Redding inspired tunes. So take your pick of the following, grab a picnic and soak up the atmosphere – you’ll love it I’m sure!
