Geneva Street Food Festival

SEND YOUR TASTE BUDS ON A ROUND-THE-WORLD TOUR!

GENEVA STREET FOOD FESTIVAL

by Vivian Holding

Send your tastebuds on a round-the-world tour at the Geneva Street Food Festival on the 8th, 9th and 10th June 2018.

There’s a growing obsession with pop-up food spots and events in the city – so if you’re looking to satisfy your foodie craving, this will definitely hit the spot!

Something to suit every palate – for health food addicts, asian food lovers, burger aficionados, more traditional taste buds, as well as the super sweet-toothed.

Taste a wide selection of artisanal beers and wines – or how about celebrating summer with an Aperol Spritz from one of our favourite trucks (and winners in our eyes of the award for the most gorgeously decorated truck)?  Get ready to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy some seriously cool tunes from live DJs and musicians in the charming setting of the Old Town.

FOOD TRUCK REVOLUTION IN GENEVA

Geneva has well and truly embraced the food truck trend with food festivals and their weekday Food Truck Circuit which you’ll find in several spots in the city.

We recommend you try out one of our favourites at the Festival, if you haven’t already – Elsalad for their delicious wraps and salads, The Gentleman Lobster lobster rolls that are pure sunshine in a roll, Debi’s Kitchen for the most amazing fresh and flavoursome Thai food or if you’re missing your regular fix of fish and chips, how about trying out what Rock ‘n Salt have on offer?

TOP TIP:  If you avoid peak lunch and dinner times, you’ll not have to queue so long for your food.

WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR?

Reusable plastic cups

An artisanal food market and a Kids’ Corner, as well as the introduction of a new wave of eco responsibility from the festival – with disposable plastic items banned, replaced with eco-responsible plates, cutlery and re-usable plastic cups. Straws have also been banished (hoorah!) and there will be more effective recycling bins available – going to prove that even the smallest of changes can have a huge environmental impact. Congratulations Geneva Food Festival for paving the way for change in the City!
