WHERE TO SEE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS IN GENEVA
From now until 2 January 2022 the city of Geneva will be sprinkling some Christmas cheer with flickering lights, shining stars, shimmering baubles and glittering garlands in nearly 30 different spots across the city – including squares, trees and fountains, as well as in some neighbourhoods such as Acacias and Servette.
The lights have been entirely replaced with energy-efficient lighting – 100% “Vitale Vert” – and include 12 surprising new additions. Look for the fairy lights around La Rade, diamonds on rue Hoffmann in Servette, a giant Christmas bauble in Parc Eglantyne Jebb (aka Parc des Acacias), and more.
In the city centre, take a wander through the festively lit Rues Basses (or the shopping streets, as we like to call them). Don’t miss the planets bobbing above Rue Neuve-du-Molard.
You’ll also want to check out Place de la Fusterie, the big Christmas tree on Place du Molard (even taller this year!) and light installations on l’lle Rousseau.
And it won’t end after the holidays – keep an eye out for the GENEVA LUX light festival which will take place across the city from 21 January to 6 February 2022.

Is there a map of these 22 spots? I can’t find anywhere online…
Good question- we can’t find one either!
