HERSTREET: A STREET DEDICATED TO HER

If you’re a woman in Geneva and you haven’t heard of Herstreet, you are in for a treat! Herstreet is a unique street with a collection of spaces designed with mums and women in mind. Herstreet is the brainchild of two friends Chloe and Claire, both real Genevoises! They wanted to offer mothers and women living in Geneva more opportunities to work, connect, relax and recharge, in a space fully dedicated to them. Claire is a mother of three and knows how difficult it is to find ‘child friendly’ spaces in Geneva to meet up with other mum friends. Chloe is an entrepreneur and is passionate about helping women to connect and empower each other. Here is what you can expect at Herstreet in Eaux-Vives:
HERSTREET CAFÉ
Herstreet Café is a beautifully styled café open to the public Monday to Saturday from 10:00am to 17:00pm. The shabby chic décor is warm and inviting, the perfect place to bring a book and unwind while sipping on a delicious chai latte. The space has lots of floral touches and greenery, which is a welcome escape from the city, especially during the colder winter months! The luxurious rugs, cozy oversized pillows and indie music playing in the background will make you feel right at home. The café sells warm drinks and some delicious cakes. They also offer juices and healthy lunches to take away. The café is available to hire as a pop-up space for events.
BONUS MUMMY FEATURE: The café definitely has mums in mind as there is a big changing table in the bathroom (with extra diapers even!), as well as a small, beautiful playroom to the side of the café for children to play in while mums (and dads) have some well-deserved rest.
HER STUDIO
Her studio is a beautiful yoga studio that hosts a wide variety of yoga and exercise classes. These are not just regular yoga classes but instead Her studio offers exciting alternatives alongside firm favorites. Some fun new classes to try, are Adult ballet, Tantric yoga, Shape up Dance, Zumba and Barres au sol. There are other workshops hosted in the studio as well, including a sound bath workshop and baby massage workshops. All classes and workshops are regularly updated and are available to book online. Classes vary from 15-25 CHF per class.
BONUS MUMMY FEATURE: The Her studio is situated directly across from their Montessori play space; so parents can drop off their children and enjoy a guilt-free work-out. Some of the classes offered at her studio are also for children -including the Kids & Mamas Yoga class as well as the Music Together class for kids. For those moms returning to exercise after having their baby, the post-natal fitness hosted by Emi and Lu is a great place to connect with other moms to regain their strength and fitness after giving birth.
HER LITTLE STREET
Little street is a Montessori play space for children from 6 months to 6 years. The Montessori approach focuses on imagination and exploring independence, and steering away from over stimulating toys. The play space is designed to make both children and parents happy.
The play space is available to parents to drop-in your little ones for an hour while you go take a class, or workshop at Herstreet studio & café for only 15CHF/90 minutes. You can book a drop-in session online.
BONUS MUMMY FEATURE: In addition to the drop-in service, the Little street play space also offers playgroups and workshops for parents and children including a baby playgroup, a toddler playgroup and also a parent introduction to Montessori workshop. CO WORKING SPACE
In addition to having a beautiful café, play space and yoga studio; Herstreet offers a stylish Co-working space for members to work, connect, relax and learn! A monthly membership of 250CHF gives you full access to their co-working space as well the Montessori play space (valid for one adult and one child). Non-members can use the space for 10CHF an hour or 35CHF for the morning or afternoon.
