FROM 29 JUNE – 2nd SEPTEMBER – the quai Gustave-Ador in Geneva comes to life with L’Escale. Beer garden, hammocks, petanque, library and terrace – all along the lakeside.
Created in the summer of 2016, this annual lakeside party and leisure space welcomes Genevans six days a week.
This year the area will be adorned with more than 2,000 plants provided by the city.
WHAT DOES IT ENTAIL?
2 STAGES – one with a piano and an open microphone, whilst the other stage will feature local artists.
2 PUBS (with adjacent terraces), one offering beers from Geneva breweries – as well as the usual drinks menu. The other pub will face the stage on which local artists will perform.
This year’s project also includes a library tower, with a hammock, making books available to the public on site free of charge
Free play facilities for children and adults include (e.g. petanque, carambola, table football and table tennis). Board games will also be available free of charge to the public.
PROGRAMME:
L’Escale will offer a varied musical program from Thursday to Saturday and several types of entertainment (e.g. dance demonstrations, guinguettes, etc.). Music will include rock, folk, hip hop and more.
Sundays will be family day with specific activities for children and seniors.
