THURSDAY 10TH, FRIDAY 11TH AND SATURDAY 12TH MAY 2018
The Mapping Festival Geneva takes place this weekend – a variety of audio-visual performances, live techno and electro music and DJs, with the majority of events taking place at the HEAD campus in Les Charmilles
Highlights include a visual symphony that will illuminate buildings next to the HEAD campus by the City Lights Orchestra, a musical creation played by robots, an invention that transforms water with the help of sound and a spectacular installation that produces music thanks to tennis balls launched at a speed of more than 150 km/h.
Musical artists performing at the festival include Italian Alessandro Cortini, keyboardist from Nine Inch Nails, French NSDOS, the duo N.M.O., renowned for their eccentricity, and Tolouse Low Trax and Tobias.
The festival also includes two free events in the city centre:
The international group Transforma will perform at the Bâtiment d’art Contemporain on Thursday 10th May 2018.
A show involving choreography and virtual reality helmets at the Bains des Pâquis on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th May 2018, produced by a Geneva-based scientist, artist and choreographer.
