ON SUNDAY, 13th OCTOBER join the March of Hope – a great family event for a good cause in Geneva.
The 28th edition of “la Marche de l’espoir” organised by Terre des Hommes Suisse will take place on Sunday, October 13th, 2019, from 11AM to 5:30PM in Geneva. This year, the benefits of this event are intended to improve children’s rights in Senegal.
The Marche de l’espoir (“march of hope”) is a fun event for families in Geneva. All participants are invited to walk miles of solidarity, sponsored by their friends and family. The funds raised are intended to improve the living conditions of children in Senegal, in particular their protection and education, and to encourage their civic participation.
More than just an act of solidarity, the Marche de l’espoir (March of Hope) is a unique festive experience of intercultural enrichment.
The march is preceded by a significant effort to raise awareness among the students of the Canton of Geneva and the French border region. Starting as early as September, speakers from Terre des Hommes Suisse will meet more than 32,000 school children to introduce them to the realities of Senegal and raise their awareness of child rights issues.
It should be noted that in 2018, more than 4600 young people walked in solidarity with child victims of gold mining in the Peruvian Amazon.
