Is it possible to have a stress-free Thanksgiving meal in Geneva? Are you avoiding thinking about making your own – is there enough time now to source the right ingredients? The turkey, cornbread, brussel sprouts, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie won’t appear by magic if you don’t think about it soon – Thanksgiving is now less than a week away.
Don’t panic – there’s a far easier option which involves minimum effort for maximum enjoyment, as we’ve selected for you the best of what’s on offer in our TOP 3 THANKSGIVING FEASTS. Happy Thanksgiving!
THE ‘BIG’ ONE WITH ALL THE TRIMMINGS
The biggest Thanksgiving event taking place in Geneva will be the AIC American Thanksgiving Dinner which takes place at the Hotel Intercontinental on Friday 24th November 2017 from 6.30pm onwards, with prize draws to win 250CHF worth of SWISS flights, a silent and live auction to support The Anouk Foundation as well as dancing to the Mark Albert Band until midnight.
The evening starts with a cocktail of wine, a soft drink or fruit juice in the Grand Foyer. At 7pm the meal will commence with a buffet starter of salads, followed on by family style “sharing plates” on each table of Roast turkey with gravy, stuffing, and cranberry sauce, bone-in ham with maple syrup, mashed potatoes and Sweet potato gratin and green beans. Desserts come in the form of all your favourites pumpkin pie, pecan pie, apple pie and chocolate mousse which are served again in a buffet style.
Red and white wine, mineral water, café, tea, fruit juices and soft drinks are included in the price of 125CHF for members, 150CHF for non-members. Children under 12 are 60CHF.
The deadline to register and pay is Tuesday 21st November at midday. Anyone registered and paid by that date will have their names placed into the two draws for a SWISS gift voucher for CHF 250.

ONE “NOT TO MISS”
A delicious five course traditional menu in an intimate setting is on offer at the Hôtel de Cigogne on Thursday 23rd November 2017 from 7pm onwards.
Enjoy an amuse-bouche followed by pumpkin soup, a stuffed and roasted turkey served with cranberry sauce, mashed sweet potato, grilled corn, green beans and mushrooms, apple pie with pecan nuts and vanilla ice-cream, finishing off with coffee and petits-fours.

A FULL-ON FEAST
Restaurant Seventy5 at the Crowne Plaza Geneva are offering a full-on Thanksgiving feast on Thursday 23rd November 2017 from 6.30pm onwards.
Enjoy mulled cider, New England clam chowder or herby split pea soup, roast turkey with cranberries and chestnuts, mashed potato and candied sweet potatoes, buttered steamed green sprouts, sweetcorn and a herb salad, corn bread and rolls with pecans and if there’s still room for dessert after all that, there’s also pumpkin pie, apple & mincemeat pie, a baked pudding and Coffee and Tea.
