NEW RESTAURANT FOR KIDS IS A HIT!
THE CEREAL FACTORY
by Sylve Wainwright (Age 13)
There’s a new cereal bar in town!!!
It’s called The Cereal Factory. Located at the Roches tram stop line 12. On weekdays it opens at 7:30am so you can get a delicious breakfast (the most important meal of the day) before school or work. On the weekends its open from 10 or 11am to 8pm. It opened on the 3rd of April.
I went there last week with some friends and It definitely wasn’t hard to find with the colours jumping out of the window. We walked in and it was like entering a Charlie and The Chocolate Factory paradise.
HUMAN-SIZED CONTAINERS OF CEREAL
There were human sized containers with mountains and mountains of cereal of all different kinds. Next to that there were the same containers but those ones had loads of different candies. My friends and I walked in and just stood there drooling.
We didn’t even notice the giant fake macaron at the side of the shop. The guy at the counter asked us what we would like. It was bit confusing at first because you get to choose the cereal (or you can have a mix of 2), the milk (full, lactose free, etc), the cream, or if you want a waffle too!
The server was super friendly and helped us decide. They had the best choices of cereal ever: Lucky Charms, Tresors, Cocopops, everything… For toppings they had Mars, Toblerone, Oreos, Malteasers, or you could have a mix of 2. Don’t forget fruit if you want a healthy option. Then they put whipped cream on if you want and they could put some caramel sauce or chocolate sauce on top.
THE BEST PART
I think the best part about The Cereal Factory is no matter what you choose, it is always going to be CHF10. No matter how many toppings, cereals or sauces you choose! That’s really good for kids because we can’t make our own money…yet. Usually, if I go eat in town I go to to McDonalds because it’s cheaper than most other places. But now I have 2 options. Both unhealthy but Cereal Factory is more delicious. Also less crowded.
I will definitely be going again. Hope to see you there!
