FROM MONDAY, 29th OF OCTOBER TILL SATURDAY, THE 3RD OF NOVEMBER get your shot of culture at The Comédie de Genève – the latest local theatre to offer English subtitles on some of their shows, with a most exceptional theatre performance!
What if they went to Moscow? is a play by Christiane Jatahy, a theatre director from Rio de Janeiro, who created a raw and radical interpretation of a Russian classic – Chekov’s Three Sisters. She takes her audience – literally – from the theatre to the cinema. The audience watches a theatre performance and then moves to the nearby cinema Cinérama Empire – to watch the movie of the play! Have your sense of space and point of view challenged by the story of the three sisters who dream of going to Moscow without ever going there.
The play and film are in Portuguese with French and English subtitles. Age: 16+
