Coming on stage to Geneva for the first time, this all female group composed of five women with pure, vibrant voices sing to us of joy, hope and sorrow, with emotion and generosity in their hearts. Born into the great vocal tradition of gospel, they take us on a journey of blues and jazz and their vocal harmonies celebrate their African, Caribbean and British heritage and transcend the boundaries of language and cultural differences.
During their career, Black Voices have shared the stage with Ray Charles, Nina Simone, Miriam Makeba, Take 6, and Wynton Marsalis. They also had the honour to sing for Nelson Mandela, Pope Jean Paul II, and Queen Elizabeth.
