How could a tooth possibly have landed in dish number 6 (chicken Thai soup, with coconut milk and ginger)? How can that tooth change the life of each of the tenants in the building? What is going on inside the tiny kitchen of the Thai-Chinese-Vietnamese restaurant Le Dragon d’Or? Amidst boiling woks, alcohol and toothache, its occupants – five immigrant workers – suffer a lot of woes, while having to cope with the utmost indifference of their customers, who lead typical Western lives: tired stewardesses, a young couple awaiting a child, a man who was left by his wife, a dead body thrust from the top of a bridge… This kitchen is the centre of a perfectly unacceptable world: our own.
Suitable from age 14.
