THINGS TO DO FOR FAMILIES THIS AUTUMN
The October school holidays have come round too quickly for us. What are your plans ? If you’re looking for a fun, educational environment for your child, there are some interesting October holiday camps which have last minute spaces available.
We also share some other fun things to do around town with your children.
After the success of their first CampZone this summer, IIL (International Institute de Lancy), offers extended activities in English and French for kids and teens during the upcoming October holidays, including interesting options such as woodworking, urban dance, basketball and multi-sport games including scavenger hunts and escape games.
Art workshop, brick-building and robotic courses are also available
We like the sound of the INDIAN SUMMER camp for children years 3-12, which combine multiple activities including games, nature creations (giant mandala), sports, a culinary workshop and an educational visit.

MAH HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS
“Des vacances qui donnent la patate” – you’ll come across this expression during the holidays. What does it mean? So, apparently in the olden days this was the holiday during which children helped their parents harvest potatoes!
During the holidays the Museum of Art and History (MAH) opens its doors to families and invites children to touch, feel and smell the exhibitions – to really get up close and personal.
For the 7th edition – the museum again offers a fun-filled programme of activities, visits, shows and educational games.
From Tuesday 22 October till Friday 25th October
From 10-12h for the little ones (2-5 years) Reserve your space
From 14h-17h for older kids (6 plus) without reservation
TOP TIP – come early as some activities may fill up quickly and space is limited.

The children’s science museum Exploracentre offers four different camps during the October holidays. Two of the camps are aimed at children aged 4+ with a further two camps welcoming children aged 8+.
We love this science-orientated museum, which offers many hands-on, colourful and fun displays. READ our review by 10-year-old Max here.
