OUR FIRST EVENT BIG SUCCESS – COOL PRIZES, GOOD FOOD, STRONG YOGA!
At THINGS TO DO IN GENEVA, we love quirky things to do and we love interesting places and great food and we love combining these things to celebrate the city!
POP-UP YOGA BRUNCH
On Saturday, 22nd of September, we hosted our first pop-up event: An early morning yoga class on the lawn in front of the Museum of Art and History overlooking the Jet-d’Eau, followed by a healthy brunch at popular health food restaurant Granola. The yoga class was a Vinyasa power yoga class by Chené Koscielny, yoga teacher (300 hours teacher training) and editor of THINGS TO DO IN GENEVA.
It seems many people out there share our sentiments, because we sold out 5 days before the event and, unfortunately, had to turn away many people as the restaurant had limited space.
GREAT PRIZES – BIG SMILES
We were lucky and the rain stayed away, the morning was fresh and beautiful, the yoga strong and invigorating and the breakfast bowls delicious. The company was great too – and we made some great new contacts, including a new contributor to the site and potential future corporate partner!
On top of that, we had the generous support of many of our lovely corporate partners, who offered fantastic prizes to be raffled during the event.
Sponsored prizes included:
- Three Kids bagel vouchers
- Cine 17 movie vouchers
- a beautiful Edible Blooms chocolate bouquet
- Rok Force Fusion fitness training vouchers
- Jewellery from Bombombijoux
- A clothes voucher from Les Pulls font la Manche
- Lemoncha tumbler and drink vouchers
- Excellent coffee from Luma Coffee!
- La reine des pommes – homemade headband.
Our event-goers all left with big smiles! We’d like to thank our sponsors again for their generous support!
A big thank you to our Social Media Manager Kelly Marcisz for organising the event and approaching sponsors.
