If you’re vegetarian or vegan, the lack of choice in many Swiss and French restaurants must lead to some very frustrating, not to mention bland and tasteless meals. Recently when calling a restaurant to enquire if they served vegetarian dishes, the reply was “Yes, we have vegetables.” – Really in the 21st century?
Trends towards healthier eating and flexitarian diets mean that many people choose non-meat options on a regular basis – but will do so only if those options are appealing.
So, it’s great news that eleven of Geneva’s 5-star restaurants are taking part in veggieweek.ch – starting on the 5th June until the 11th June 2017, offering their guests 100% vegetarian menus (many offer a vegan menu) for both lunch and dinner. This is an amazing opportunity to experience the talents of top chefs and hopefully encourage them to continue the trend for more meat-free options in the future.
Participating Restaurants – veggieweek.ch
L’Atrium, Café Calla, Café Lauren, Gusto, Le Jardin, Living Room, Loti, Eaux-Vives Park, Rasoi Vero, Windows. Menus for the week are all available on the veggieweek.ch website and range from 39CHF to 65CHF for three courses.
