WHERE TO DO OUTDOOR YOGA IN GENEVA

If you’re into yoga, summer is the time to take your downward dog and warrior postures outdoors to enjoy a fresh perspective with a view of the lake and the mountains. Tune into the sounds of nature and enjoy the peace and calm.
This summer there are many places to practise yoga outdoors in the city – we share some of our favourites.
REMEMBER to take your own yoga mat or towel, a water bottle and sun screen.
All classes are subject to the weather conditions, so please contact the teacher, studio or website the evening before to confirm the class is on!
YOGA IN THE PARK – Parc la Grange
Yoginis Natacha and Mari Ana practise HATHA YOGA overlooking the lake and the Jura mountains near the theatre de l’Orangerie. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced yogi, you will find inner peace and harmony.
Parking might be a bit tricky as the park is highly frequented but try the roads surrounding the park, as well as the parking areas near the lake.

YOGA AT SUNRISE – Le Reposoir
SoHam Yoga Studio in Geneva is offering sunrise Yoga classes every Saturday from 8-9am on the beach at Le Reposoir restaurant, which is located right on the shores of lake Geneva. You have a stunning view of the lake and Geneva, as well as the Mont Blanc while practising your asanas to get you ready for a beautiful and relaxed day ahead.

YOGA IN THE EVENING – Bernex
Should you live at this end of town KrystelYoga is the place to go. On the Signal de Bernex, which is the second highest view point in Geneva, you will find a lovely big grassy area with views of the Jet d’Eau, the Jura and Alpes. Practise every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evening from 19:00-20:00 at a charge of CHF20 per class.

YOGA IN THE PARK – Petit Saconnex / Pâquis
Dalia and Julie offer their summer series of yoga classes for all levels in Parc Beaulieu (near Rue de Grand-Pré), which will continue until end of August. An invigorating, refreshing session will give you the balance to leave the work day behind.

RISE AND SHINE –along the Rhône River in Jonction
Every Thursday morning Yoga Lab offers a light vinyasa flow yoga class with integrated breathing and meditation aspects on the boardwalk near the tip of Jonction overlooking the river Rhône. What a lovely way to start the day and possibly take time to freshen up in the river after? You don’t have to book this class and it is free of charge, yet a small donation is suggested.
Check the Yoga Lab Geneva event page by 9pm the night before for cancellation information in case of rain.

YOGA WITH A VIEW ON THE LAKE – Quai de Mont Blanc: Bronzette
SoHam Yoga studio proposes various morning classes that are free of charge at La Bronzette, situated right on the lake near Bain des Pâquis. Bronzette is a bar and restaurant great for early evening apéro, lunch and dinner. Practise yoga and meditation to start the day and enjoy breakfast by the lake right afterwards.
Parking along Quai de Mont-Blanc should be not a problem at these early hours of the day.

Every Sunday at 10:30 until 25th August you can join a yoga class on the grass on the mount in Plan-les-Ouates which is good for all levels. You will find plenty of parking on the side of the mount and it is easy to find on the opposite side of the mairie.
