Surtitled in French and English on Friday 6, Sunday 8, and Wednesday 11 December 2019

PERFORMANCE TIMES
TUESDAY-FRIDAY: 19H30 SUNDAY: 17H
SPECIAL PERFORMANCE TIME: SATURDAY 17H
DURATION: 1H30 (IN DEVELOPMENT)
AGE: 8 AND OVER

On Christmas Eve – a celebration he detests above all others and happily qualifies as β€œhumbug” – Ebenezer Scrooge, an avaricious moneylender – is visited by three ghosts…
The first one takes Scrooge back in time to past Christmases. The second one takes him on a journey through the present, showing him the poverty that surrounds him and which he does nothing to combat. And the third takes him to an incredibly bleak future, where a helpless Scrooge witnesses his own death, alone and reviled by all. Overwhelmed by these revelations about himself and the world around him, Scrooge performs a last minute act of redemption, just moments before the joyous bells ring out for Christmas…
β€œI remain convinced that all the evils committed by individuals on this Earth come in large part from the evils previously suffered by those same individuals. And nowhere has anyone more clearly expressed this in a simple story than Charles Dickens in A Christmas Carol.” Claude-Inga Barbey

TEDx Youth@IIL @ Institut International de Lancy

TedxYouth@IIL is a series of talks organised by a group of Year 12 students at Institut International de Lancy (IIL).

The talks will focus around the theme, β€œQuestioning the Unknown”, which aims to inspire people to ask more questions in their everyday lives. This theme provokes discussion around unasked questions – those which are not usually researched – and unanswered questions – those to which a clear answer has not yet been found.

Speakers will be a combination of IIL students (ages 10 and over), IIL staff and external speakers.

Art Home 42 is the launch of the first edition of a temporary 2-days gallery combining contemporary art and interior decoration. The aim of the event is to break with the codes of traditional galleries in order to promote accessible art & designer furniture.
A space in which we will be recreating living spaces out the selected designer furnitures & showcase artworks of local artists. During this event, we will be organising talkshows around decoration, with designers, interior architects and experts from auction houses on contemporary art.
It’s a brand new concept in Geneva that has never been organised before and we would be really delighted to present a selection of works and furniture.
