NEW TROPICAL BAR OPENS IN GENEVA
CASA TIKI – JONCTION
by Gaëlle Forget
We decided to stop by for a nice Friday after work. There is after all no better way to start the weekend than sipping a tasty cocktail.
Casa Tiki is owned by the same team who gave us Black Sheep cocktails bars (they already have two locations, one near Manor in the Gare Cornavin area and one in Rue de la Terrassière).
EXOTIC HOLIDAY VIBE
Casa Tiki aims to transport you to a tropical location and to make you forget that you are in Geneva. Once inside, you may as well be in a Tiki Bar in the Fiji islands. You feel like you’re on an exotic holiday without a care in the world. You can almost hear the waves in the background.
The mood is warm, friendly and tropical with beautiful rattan chairs, pineapple lamps above the bar and jungle wallpaper.
There is also a small terrace outside for when it gets too hot inside.
ORIGINAL COCKTAILS AND GREAT SERVICE
If you are hungry, temporarily, they can offer you cheese and curated ham plates, but, starting in September, a selection of healthy tapas will be on the menu. It will be the perfect excuse to come back and try these delicacies. The service is impeccable, the manager is friendly and makes sure that you are having the best experience possible, without being too overwhelming. We came for a quick single drink and ended up staying for most of the night, because we were having so much fun!
For another tropical themed cocktail bar, we also recommend trying Voodoo Reyes, not far from the train station. The decoration is similar, however, the atmosphere is very different. The dim lighting makes it the perfect late night cocktail bar.
Casa Tiki, Rue du Vélodrome 11
Voodoo Reyes, Rue du Cendrier 22, from Tuesday until Thursday from 5pm until 12:30 am, Friday 5pm until 1 am and Saturday from 7pm until 2:30 am.
