5 VALENTINE’S COCKTAILS YOU’LL LOVE – BY CUPID DIMITRI
HELLO LOVELY– sparkling and girly
This gorgeous red sparkly drink will win over any girl’s heart – it’s sweet, colourful and fizzy, not to mention seductively topped with tiny strawberry slices served on a homemade chocolate and orange wafer.
Unique to Eat Me, this gourmet drink was created by Dimitri with a romantic vision in mind. You may be forgiven a lame pick-up line if you offer this cocktail as an icebreaker.
DIMITRI SAYS:
This could be the signature Valentine’s Day cocktail –imagine dipping a sweet strawberry into a chocolate fondue while sipping on a glass of champagne next to a fireplace with your love.
Yes, please! We’ll have what she’s having!
INGREDIENTS
Triple sec
Strawberry balsamic shrub
Beetroot syrup
Champagne
GARNISH
Homemade chocolate and orange wafer.
AVIATION – Floral, citrusy, slightly dry
Get ready for take-off with this classic Top Gun cocktail with a stunning violet sheen that will take your breath away. If you’re a Maverick with a need for speed and you’re not afraid to show your feminine side, this is the cocktail for you! The Aviation is a classic, but over time many modern bartenders have dropped the liqueur that gives this drink its violet glow. Dimitri sticks to the original recipe, which adds a beautiful floral layer on top of the citrus and maraschino. All of that and a cherry on top (well actually the bottom…)!
DIMITRI SAYS:
Sipping this cocktail will make you feel like you’re lying down in field of violets nibbling on cherries on a beautiful summer’s day with the love of your life.
Bring it on. You can be my wingman any time!
INGREDIENTS
Gin
Lemon juice
Maraschino
Violet liqueur
GARNISH
Cherry
FLOWER OF SENEGAL – exotic, floral and slightly spicy
This beautiful and exotic cocktail with a rim of delicate cornflower petals and castor sugar, whispers of faraway romance and leaves you with naturally glossy lips. Another Eat Me original, the cocktail features a special ingredient called ‘bissap’ – an African (Senegalese) drink made from hibiscus flowers. Forget the roses, bring your date a bouquet of this exotic flower instead! A deliciously spicy taste and no need to reapply your lipgloss!
DIMITRI SAYS:
This cocktail makes you totally kissable!
Bisous!
INGREDIENTS
Passion berry infused vodka
Phosphoric acid
Homemade bissap (hibiscus infusion including vanilla, nutmeg and orange blossom)
Ginger beer
GARNISH
Mix of castor sugar and cornflower petals on the rim
AMARETTO SOUR – sour and nutty, served pisco-style!
Love on the rocks? Don’t worry! You’ll find comfort in this frothy sweet and sour drink. Another classic, the Amaretto Sour is a great choice for anyone looking for a bit of TLC – not too boozy, but just enough to put a smile on your face. Dimitri likes to put a spin on this classic by serving it “pisco”-style with egg white foam and bitters on top.
DIMITRI SAYS:
This sweet and lovely cocktail contains two ingredients, which help to create serotonin, the happiness hormone, so it is sure to give you a Valentine’s Day boost.
We are all smiles…
INGREDIENTS
Amaretto
Lemon juice
Simple syrup
Egg white
PORT OLD FASHIONED – balanced and tasty
Call us old-fashioned, but we like a bit of history and some strong, pure notes, when it comes to choosing a drink… or a date for that matter.
Dimitri’s version of the classic Old Fashioned adds some chocolate bitters to Bourbon and red port – enough to make anyone go weak at the knees… add to that maple syrup if you’re feeling saucy, and you have Valentine’s Day in a tumbler! This is the perfect tipple for those who love their cocktails on the stronger side.
DIMITRI SAYS:
Since antiquity wine and chocolate have been synonymous with love, seduction, passion and eroticism. We’ve used this as a muse to create a romantic twist on the classic Old Fashioned. With fortified wine and chocolate bitters, this cocktail should hit the spot if you like a full-bodied, rich-flavoured and satisfying drink.
You got us at the mere mention of chocolate…
INGREDIENTS
Bourbon
Red port
Angostura and chocolate bitters
Maple syrup
GARNISH
Orange zest and cherry
…AND ONE BONUS COCKTAIL – JUST IN CASE YOU HAVEN’T FOUND LOVE YET!
BROOKLYN – dry and complex
Like this trendy part of New York, this cocktail is complex, yet interesting, edgy, yet down-to-earth and very pleasing.
DIMITRI SAYS:
This whisky lover’s cocktail is fancy and sensual. Thanks to the intelligent blend of spirits, the cocktail is both warm in colour and warming to the heart.
Anyone else thinking ‘Sex in the City?’

Rye whisky
Dry vermouth
Picon
Maraschino (cherry liquor)
